Freitag means friday in German. Given that its monday, you could say my timing is a little off. Besides, Freitag products are made in Switzerland, not Germany.
Anyway, Im very excited by the prospect of a new Ipod case or messenger bag using one of these great brightly colored canvases. These products are made from recycled materials such as truck tarps, seat belts and airbags from all over Europe. You can purchase any style and color of bag you want, and they even offer a custom bag builder. Buy these online, or use the storefinder to see if there is a seller near you.

Theres nothing like a litte sarcasm on a friday afternoon. I love this retro tin piggy bank. You too can buy that groovy pair of jeans if you save your dimes and nickels. ($8) Bonus: use the coupon code CHEERS for an extra $10 off your order at Perpetual Kid; my favorite silly store.

What an adorable little necklace! Kata Golda has created a variety of porcelain pendant necklaces adorned with any little creature you may want. Choose a duck, cat, mouse, frog or rabbit. They can be worn by children too. Extra cute points there! The cream silk ribbon is a nice soft alternative to metal and beads, don’t you think? Sold by Twig ($19).

Hope all of you had a wonderful holiday!
Ive been noticing how dry it is in my house. I feel like a scratchy piece of sandpaper and now I have got to reach for my favorite product, especially for winter - Philosophy hot salt scrub. It is a great item we should all have handy. It comes in a variety of great scents and has a heating action I just love. It has an ultra moisturizing base that gets rid of dryness everytime.
After all the chocolate, caramel, cinnamon, and coffee I have consumed over the last four days, I think this zippy green margarita scent is just what I need.

I spotted these cute canisters on the deal of today on Delight. The set of three pantry canisters for your flour sugar, or anything else, are made of white porcelain and each contain a magnetic measuring spoon that nestles into the side of each one. Pretty clever…a good deal too! On sale today only ($36).

Sputnik was the first ever satellite to be launced into outer space, October 4, 1957 by the Soviet Union. For all of the non-scientists in the world, the other Sputnik is a cool chrome light fixture with arms that reach out in every directon, in both in lamp and pendant formations. It too looks like 1957 and would look great in my house. From Decennia Design. ($400)

Ive been loving Urban Outfitters lately. This is my second post this week from that store. Ive always been far more into their little items and housewares than I have their clothes; I just think they have the most fun accessories. This scarf is such a cute must have for any of our drab winter jackets. At least mine is feeling pretty drab. Plus I’m extra excited about anything with a little splash of orange. Just $20.
