I love getting my occassional emails from Sway and Cake and I love that they offer free shipping. But today when I got an email announcing the new must have item is the Raj Peace Scarf, I wasnt sure if I was a believer. Maybe its because I just dont seem to have the need to wear such a scarf, or if its my aversion to the peace sign print. I’m all for peace, don’t get me wrong. Its just a little to Jerry Garcia for me.
For those of you who do love this scarf, it looks like for a limited time the are offering a free Sway & Cake Society Music CD.

I wondered if I made a post about cleaning products would that mean I am slipping. But then I realized how much I really love this stuff and use it for everything, so what the heck! Besides, these products are natural and biodegradable which is a really good thing. Caldrea has a lot more than cleaning products. They have really great soaps, lotions and candles too.
I am obsessed with Caldrea’s Ginger Pomelo scent. I am obsessed with all of their scents. So naturally I got excited when I saw the brand new watercress wild lily scent for spring. What could be more cute than one of these petite sink sets with the little mesh basket? Besides puppy dogs and rainbows, of course.

I have a sweet tooth the size of Alaska, and one of my favorite treats has got to be the whoopie pie. What seems to be strictly an East Coast concept, I wonder what about the rest of us? I discovered them on a trip to Boston and now I hoard them whenever I can. Don’t get me wrong, Hostess cupcakes are good, but there is something so nice about these fluffy little treats, especially when they are made at a local bakery.
In case you would like to make your own, or at least stare at the pretty pictures, the website The Nibble has a fun article on Whoopie Pies and all of their greatness. Although there are several varieties, I am a true purist and believe strongly that the original chocolate whoopie is the only one for me.

Sodafine is just a great little shop. I wish I lived near them, I’d be there all the time. Lucky for us, they have a great web store. Based in Brooklyn, Sodafine specialized in fair trade, handmade and vintage items. They support young designers and have more well known brands too, like Loomstate, Chie Mihara, Coclico, and Ashley Watson. Im crazy about this high waist skirt from John Patrick Organic. I think what I like best is the baby blue camisole; great color combination.

These are another great new arrival from Sodafine. I think I’m too square for jelly shoes, but these are pretty fun. They come in any color you could want, even a velvety magenta sparkle. Called Ultragirl, they are $60. Check last season for other colors and great deals too.

Sorry to all of my readers that I have been missing in action over the last several days. I went home to visit my family over the weekend and helped me sister with her new apartment. Ahh, the possibilities.

Anyway, with all of the apartment talk, I have home decorating on the mind. My favorite european store, Vincon, has these great new tapas themed placemats. I purchased the matching tapas papers, but would have loved to have a few of these sunny, fun placemats.
These placemats are original designs by Cha-Cha and come in a variety of designs, in red, yellow, green and white-red-black combinations. Una fiesta! They cost just 9 euros each, which unfortunately if you are in America, is about $18! Ay caramba!

MBT stands for Masai Barefoot Technology. The idea for this shoe came about when the creator was on vacation in Africa and was inspired by the local residents foot health, good posture and freedom from pains, compared to those of us in westernized society whose every step is on hard, unforgiving surfaces such as concrete which contribute to chronic pains in our knees, necks and backs. The thick, curved bottom of these shoes not only absorb the shock of concrete, but also encourage improved posture and muscle activity in places like your buttocks and abs!
These shoes apparently really work; I have family members who have eliminated virtually all that ails them by using these shoes and say they are worth every penny. I’ve also seen people wearing them here in Chicago and they look cute. I want some. Sold all over, including Bliss and Zappos.

I just love the minimalist design of this gold ring by Adina Reyter. Called the signature ring, it is delicately pounded to give it just a but of texture without additon any extra decoration. The petite design of it seems comfortable too. Made of 14 carat gold. From Active Endeavors ($209)
