Great Scandanavian design is not just limited to furniture. Beautiful and unique jewelry can also be found in any shape, material and color you could want. I especially love the big procelain rings and delicate little necklaces, which offer lovely and whimsical designs like this black magic bracelet and the bustier necklace from the Dada’s Diamonds collection.

There ar numerous designers featured on Huset-Shop, who create beautiful bags, clothing, furniture, lighting and kid stuff. But I am really interested in their lovely jewelry collection. Much of the jewelry here is made from rare stones and fine materials including gold and sterling silver.

Park Avenue Peerage

Okay, since its friday and Im feeling distracted from my daily mundane tasks, I thought I would share with you another of my guilty pleasures. I love a good blog full of people photos, especially ones that offer more frequent updates than my own sporadic posting activity.

You can’t shake a stick at the fashion blog The Sartorialist, whose writer Scott Schuman is a true class act. I love, love, love that blog and often imagine myself  living in Paris or Florence, with a general sense of fabulousness that his subjects all seem to have.

My second runner up has got to the the far more pretentions and glorious Park Avenue Peerage. If you are interested in what the second generation New York socialites, with names like Zani Gugelmann, Tinsley Mortimer, and Byrdie Bell are doing this week, look no further. I find myself fascinated by their emaciated bodies and fabulous and sometimes bizarre fashions. They look like some real divas, but I think we can take em’!

I cannot get enough of white cotton tops for summer. This one from jcrew is right on the mark. I think white is especially tricky from a see-through standpoint, and this great little top has the right amount of coverage that makes it look rich, and not too thin. Sleveless, dots, beautiful. Jcrew $150.

Call me behind the times if you will…I have never used a brush cleanser until now. Gross? Probably. Anyway, who knew how great this stuff is, especially if you are like me and are trying to slowly build a collection of nice brushes. This stuff is great. $10.

These great little numbers are perfect for change or any little thing you’d want to use them for. Since Im always losing earrings, this might just the the perfect thing to keep them organized when your’re on the go. And I just love the ombossed f&m logo.

And dont forget, they are made right here in the USA.

With love from Japan

The MOMA store has just come out with a new line of trinkets and toys from Japan which are available for a limited time only. My favorite are the kitchen items.

I especially love the apple jar with spoon. The wooden accent of the spoon, which doubles as an adorable little stem, are perfect against the pretty white porcelain. I think you would have to use it for raw sugar just like in the picture!

The duck bill soy sauce dispenser is also quite irresistable. It would be a perfect complement to any table, and is oh so much more fun than the standard soy sauce bottle you get from the store. ($25-55) at the MoMA Store.
